Giving my beardie a “bath” – How much water? And how do I dry him?

I plan on deep cleaning my beardies (bearded dragon) tank out today and thought I would let him soak it up in the tub while I’m cleaning.
About how deep should I make the water? I know not too deep. I am guessing like an inch or so. He is two years old and quite big!

Another thing that is bothering me a bit more is how do I dry him? Do I let him dry naturally? Dry him with a towel? Just kinda wrap him up gently until he is dry?
I don’t want to add him back to the tank while wet because the substrate will stick to him.

Thanks

Like the answerer above said bathing in a tub is fine as long as its supervised. The water should be filled up to about maybe their elbows or halfway up their arms which is a pretty good measure for a beardie bath. Also as you said, you can towel him afterwards which might add a sense of security and warmth but i have always found that putting your beardie in a warm container(not his hom tank) with a nice warm light or if its nice enough outside at the time, bringing him outdoors is also beneficial and it will give your beardies a nice change of scenery as well. Plus their getting valuable natural sunlight which will help keep them in tip top condition. Also make sure to follow through with good hygiene practices and disinfect your tub with a good disinfectant or bleach. Beadies are notorious for defecating in their baths:) Good luck
